By definition, you cannot link an Epic to another Epic. However, there’s a bug in most recent version of Jira Cloud that in fact allows you to do this. Steps to reproduce: Create an Epic.
Account merging ended in May 2019. Now, there is no way to merge 2 Epic Games accounts.
How do I create an epic under an epic in Jira?
Click Issue in the top-left corner. Select an issue type other than epic. Find the Epic Link field, and select your epic. Fill in any other details and click Create.
To set this up in your team-managed project:
- Navigate to your board.
- In the top-right corner, select the Group by menu.
- Select Epic.
Can an epic be a child of an epic?
An epic is the parent of one or more issues. An epic is the parent of one or more child epics.
Hover over your display name and click Account. Click on Connected Accounts. Click on Connect for the account that you want to connect to your Epic account. Click on Link your account.
